Beyond that, keeping the list in front of your face will add a sense of urgency to it so that you will be compelled to keep taking action so that you can cross items off of the list.
Effective Preparation: For some to-do lists, success depends upon your ability to do an effective amount of preparation. When you've done enough prep you'll see that crossing items off of your to-do list is a lot easier because you'll know what you're doing. For example, let's say that you've got 5 articles to write written down as a task on your list. Doing the required research ahead of time for your articles will make actually completing them a lot easier. Yes it does. If you do enough prep, most of your battle is already won.
